An Abbots Langley mother recently admitted neglecting her 2-year-old son. The 22-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to cruelty to the toddler between 1 June and 15 July last year.
For the fourth year running, Abbots Langley School was awarded first prize in the schools category for the Carnival floats. As a result, My Abbots has received letters and emails concerned that schools within the area will soon turn their back on entering a float if they continue to be overlooked.

An Abbots resident has praised two local hospitals for their care and kindness after both her daughter and mother were taken ill. Julie Dibble, of Helston Place, leapt to the defence of both Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital due to the support both offered to her and her family following the two illnesses.
The 26th Annual Abbots Langley Carnival was one of the best attended in its history as people flocked to the village to enjoy the festivities. The event is arguably the biggest in Abbots Langley’s calendar, attracting people from all over South West Hertfordshire.
