Two Parmiter’s students have beaten off competition from around 100 other entrants to win a TV contract with Myspace and Warner Brothers worth £250,000 in a national competition. Ashton Jones, 16, from Watford, and George Styles, 15, from Abbots Langley, showed off their ability to make people laugh after winning the Myspace Trident Comedy Awards 2008 last month.

Six local teachers fulfilled their pupils’ biggest wishes on November 22 when they were put behind bars at Rickmansworth Police Station, raising nearly £2,200 in the process. Teachers were led to their cells at midday as part of the Peace Hospice's latest fundraising event.
