Gaffer leaves the Vic
On Thursday 4th June, Watford football club had announced after numerous rumours that Manager Brendan Rodgers was set to leave the club and become the manager of fellow championship side Reading after just 192 days in charge at the Vic.

Just last week he was turning down these rumours and stating how loyal he was to Watford football club and was 100% committed. Whilst negotiating with Reading, Watford chairman Jimmy Russo, managed to settle a strong compensation deal including a potential £1m payment starting at 500k.

Rodgers has today expressed his thanks to the Watford fans for all their support and how he wishes the team the best of luck.

Watford’s first team coach Malky Mackay, goalkeeping coach Alec Chamberlain and the rest of the coaching staff are expected to remain at Watford for the time being.
