Watford Beat DoncasterThe Horns’ travelled to the Keepmoat stadium on Saturday to face a fellow struggling championship side, in what was a vital match for both teams.

A strong Watford side got off to an excellent start, going 2-0 up in under 20 minutes. The first goal came courtesy of Doncaster’s own defender, Sam Hird, after a skillful run from Tamas Priskin on the right hand side, which concluded with a pacey cross cannoning into the Rovers net, off of Hird’s leg. Watford’s second goal was then headed in over keeper, Sullivan after Scottish signing Don Cowie connected with Adrian Marriapa’s cross. It wasn’t until late in the game that the certainty of Watford’s victory was questioned. With 5 minutes left, Hayter received the ball inside the Watford half, turned away from Doyley and curled a spectacular shot into the top left hand corner which loach had no chance of reaching. This goal resulted in a nervy final five minutes but the golden boys hung on to the valuable 3 points and climbed over Rovers in the table.
